JAKE'S MIND MAP
My Goals
I have always loved to tear things apart figure out why they aren't working and fix them. Growing up my dream job was to be a vehicle mechanic. My dad, my twin brother and myself restored a 1976 F150 and a 1964 Mustang. And worked on several other vehicles as well. But life happens and my senior year in High school I ended up needing back surgery to repair a few of my discs in my lower back due to degenerative Disc disease. So my career plans changed due to the strain that would be on my back. I knew I still wanted to be some type of mechanic as was happy to find and started school for my career as a HVAC and Refrigeration Mechanic in the SLCC Applied Technology Program. I graduated that program in 2005. I have worked at several HVAC companies in the valley. Then I mostly did residential installation and repair. In 2006 I started my career with the University of Utah. I have been working at the U of U Healthcare Clinic in South Jordan for the last few years as a Facility Maintenance Mechanic. So basically if it breaks I fix it and maintain it. I am also in charge of maintaining the heating and cooling for the building. |
